Cher Lloyd ditches red to go dark

The X Factor teen was compared to Rihanna when she dyed her hair bright red for the show's recent tour.

But now the 17-year-old appears to have had a change of heart and instead bears a resemblance to new singing sensation Jessie J, who also has a similar sound to Cher.

Last night Cher posted a snap on Twitter which showed her dark locks off as she posed with a pal.

Earlier on she'd seemed excited to return to her natural colour, telling her 328,000 followers: "Back to my brown hair :) put pics up tomorrow!"

Her image change came just weeks after she said how much she liked her fiery red look.

Cher had told Wonderland magazine: "I wanted something that would sort of represent me, that's fiery and outgoing.

"So I thought a bit of a red would do me good. I want to get my nose pierced too."

During her time on X Factor last year Cher was repeatedly described as a mini version of her mentor Cheryl Cole.

She often seemed to take inspiration from the judge's look - even though she always denied copying her and said she was her own person.
