Now that The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger is engaged to former lothario Mark Wright, she is determined to restore his reputation.
The 24-year-old says Mark ‘is not a cheater’ and insists that he only dates other women when they’re on a break – which just happens to be fairly often.
‘As far as I know, when he’s been seeing these other girls, we’ve been broken up. I don’t think Mark is a cheater. I think we have just broken up a lot,’ she says.
Girls' night out: The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger went out with her stylist and best friend Sade Ibrahim over the weekend in Mayfair, London without her fiancé Mark Wright
Lauren told the Daily Mirror that she understands as a young lad, Mark is going to try things out with other girls.
But after almost 10 years of being on and off, and on again, the reality TV star is adamant that Mark won’t be distracted by other girls now that they’re engaged.
‘Now that we’re back together people think ‘poor Lauren’, that he’s cheated. But actually he hasn’t. I won’t let him go and he won’t let me go.’
Despite Mark, 24, having played the field with a flurry of girls on the show, Lauren says she’s never been with anyone else.
Happy couple: Now that Mark and Lauren are engaged, Goodger says it has changed their relationship and Mark is not a cheater
Mark famously stringed along Sam Faiers, 20, and Lucy Mecklenburgh, 19, on TOWIE, as well as dating I’m a Celebrity contestant Kayla Collins in-between series one and two.
But while Mark was sowing his wild oats, Lauren says she hit rock bottom and turned to comfort eating during the low time.
‘One time I’ll deal with it by comfort eating and having loads of rubbish and another time I’ll feel so stressed I can’t eat.
‘Sometimes I can’t leave the house either. But I’d easily go the other way and couldn’t stay in.

'Of course seeing Mark in the magazines with other girls was extra hard when he was in the public eye but I’ve dealt with it’, she says.
Despite her pain, Lauren says she doesn’t blame Mark and doesn’t think he’s as bad as everyone makes out.
After first meeting her fiancé in school at 15-years-old, she says she fell in love with him after their first date at Pizza Express.
Their longest break since first starting their relationship has been 11 months, but Lauren’s first date with someone else was three years ago and didn’t go well.
‘It was the worst feeling because I wasn’t interested. No one compared to Mark,’ she told the tabloid.

But after all of their ups and downs, Lauren says being engaged has made a difference in their relationship and showed everyone that their love is real.
Meanwhile as Lauren boasted about her happy relationship with Mark, her co-stars James ‘Arg’ Argent and Lydia Bright are rumoured to have broken up.
The couple, who have also been on and off during the series, appeared to be off again during the weekend at the Opera House Club in London.
The pair didn’t speak during the evening and arrived and left in separate taxis, according to the Daily Star.
Lydia, 20, is said to have been jealous over the attention that Arg, 22, received from female fans since finding fame on the hit show.
