Will Ferrell to guest on US version of The Office with Steve Carell

The comic, 43, will play a visiting branch manager in four episodes to mark 48-year-old Steve's final series.

TV Biz told last week how Ricky Gervais is making his debut in it as David Brent from the UK series.

Producer Paul Lieberstein joked: "We found Steve when he was nothing but a movie star and made him a TV star.

"Once America views Will, they'll see what we do - raw sexuality."
