It happened when I was sitting on the floor using a hairdryer to warm up my boot to make it soft for my foot.
Someone banged the table next to me - and the other boot fell down on my left index finger.
I didn't think it was anything serious at the time but it would not stop bleeding so I went to hospital.
My dance partner Jodeyne Higgins insisted on coming with me - and so did her mum.
Jodeyne had been meant to be taking her sightseeing around London.
Bless her mum. She was there with me in that hospital for the whole time. After five hours of waiting I was sent for an X-ray and they found that the bone in the finger had been chipped and there was a splinter in the flesh.
I had to go back the next day for them to cut it open and take it out.
It is healing now, but I haven't been allowed back on the ice to practise yet.
I hope to do the group dance this weekend.
But as my main performance is not until next week I am not too worried - last week I came fourth even though I had twisted ankle just before the show.
So it has been a stressful week.
But only because I just want to get back on the ice and everyone is saying I can't because of my broken finger.
But I don't need my finger to skate! I just want to get on with it.
