The former Countdown star, 50, was joined by Katie, 18, as they watched play A Woman Alone in Hounslow, West London.
Katie has inherited mum's brains as well as her looks, earning four A* grades at A-level.
EASTENDERS star Charlie Brooks says she is no longer hated by soap fans because of her villainous alter-ego Janine Malloy.
The 29-year-old actress said: "Now I'm older people are absolutely wonderful and lovely.
"When I was younger it was different. There was much more abuse and maybe I was more vulnerable-looking and an easy target."
Charlie insists she loves the role of Janine because she gets to be so nasty.
"I revel in playing the bitch."
