Media watchdog Ofcom yesterday said it had received 497 after Jason, 45, told ex-judge Karen on Sunday: "If your opinion still mattered you'd be on the panel."
ITV said it had received a further 3,000, with more coming in. But a spokesman said the matter was closed after Jason received a warning.
Jason and Karen, 49, have still yet to speak since the incident.Meanwhile, DJ Chris Moyles hit out at Jason for criticising Radio 1 sidekick Comedy Dave, a contestant on the show.
Moyles told Jason on Twitter: "Hey pal, have a go at me instead of picking on Dave." Jason replied: "Facts are facts, Mr Moyles."
